We are excited to announce the opening season of the 2019 (SFL) Slovak Football League. As mentioned before the league will consist of 5 Slovak teams/club: Trnava Bulldogs, Bratislava Monarchs, Nitra Knights, Zilina Warriors & Zvolen Patriots.

Novinky z tábora Trnava Bulldogs 2019
The Bulldogs took on a Czech league opponent this weekend, the Brno Alligators in Brno. The event was a controlled scrimmage with referees/officials monitoring the game tempo. Both clubs did a great job of protecting its opponent and playing at a very high intensity. Brno Alligators an above average club in the Czech provided a great experience for the Bulldogs as we fought and battled against a team with more players and depth.
Tento víkend sa Bulldogs stretli so súperom z najvyššej českej ligy, tímom Brno Alligators. Stretnutie prebehlo ako kontrolovaný scrimmage s rozhodcami, ktorí dávali pozor na priebeh celého tréningu. Oba tímy odohrali stretnutie vo vysokom nasadení, ale zároveň s prihliadnutím na ochranu súpera. Stretnutie s Brno Alligators, tímom zo stredu tabuľky v Čechách, poskytol Bulldogs skvelú príležitosť zabojovať si proti silnejšiemu súperovi s väčším hráčskym kádrom.
From my positon as Head Coach, I am very proud of my players and coaches for their commitment and self-discipline to fight until the very end and compete against a club like Brno Alligators. Overall the Bulldogs offense showed some signs of productivity and maturity from last season against a strong Alligator defense. We were not afraid to make plays on the outside and attack the defense with some running plays. On the other side of the ball, the Bulldogs defense stepped up and cause a few turnovers against the Alligators offense. It is good to have an opportunity to compete against someone in another color jersey for once. The Bulldogs will continue preparing and developing our youth and new talents. The 2019 season is now here and we cannot lower our standards if we want to stay on top of the Slovak Football League.
Ako hlavný tréner som naozaj veľmi hrdý na svojich hráčov, kvôli ich prístupu a sebadisciplíne s cieľom bojovať až do konca v zápase s klubom, akým je Brno Alligators. Celkovo útok Bulldogs ukázal voči silnej brnianskej obrane niekoľko náznakov úrovne produktivity a vyzrelosti z minulej sezóny. Nebáli sme sa hrať po stranách a zároveň aj atakovať obranu behovou hrou. Na druhej strane lopty, obrana Bulldogs sa vytiahla a spôsobila niekoľko turnoverov útoku Alligators. Vždy je dobré mať príležitosť porovnať si sily s niekým, kto nosí iný dres. Buldoci sa naďalej sústredia na svoj rozvoj a rozvoj svojich mladých hráčov a talentov. Sezóna 2019 už klope na dvere a my nemôžme znižovať naše nároky, ak chceme byť naďalej na najvyšších úrovniach našej ligy.
The Bulldogs are prepared and ready after months of intense training and mental preparation. There is a lot of work that is being done with the Trnava Bulldogs club and organization from top to bottom. As coaches and players we are raising our expectations for the 2019 season.
Bulldogs sú pripravení po mesiacoch intenzívneho tréningu a mentálnej prípravy. Od hora dolu sa spravilo veľa práce v rámci klubu Trnava Bulldogs. Hráči ako aj tréneri majú len tie najvyššie očakávania do novej sezóny.
Here’s a recap on the 2018 season, which consisted of 5 teams: Trnava Bulldogs, Nitra Knights, Zilina Warriors, Zvolen Patriots & Kosice Steelers. The leagues competition was solid and each club had its own challenges in order to make it into the playoffs and advance to the SFL Championship. However, it was destiny for the Trnava Bulldogs to face the Zilina Warriors. After four quarters of play the Trnava Bulldogs achieved success and gained a second SFL Championship Trophy. With having a successful season in 2018 the Bulldogs are looking to improve overall. The season opener for the Bulldogs will be on April 6th in Trnava versus the Zvolen Patriots. Please come out in support the Bulldogs as we defend the SFL Championship trophy.
Zrekapitulujme si sezónu 2018, ktorá pozostávala z piatich tímov: Trnava Bulldogs, Nitra Knights, Zilina Warriors, Zvolen Patriots & Kosice Steelers. Úroveň ligy bola solídna a každý z tímov prechádzal svojimi vlastnými výzvami za účelom dosiahnuť na play off a dostať sa do finale SFL. Akokoľvek, asi to bol osud, aby Trnava Bulldogs čelila Žiline Warriors. Po štyroch štvrtinách sa Trnave Bulldogs podarilo uspieť a dosiahnuť na druhý titul v SFL. Po úspechu zo sezóny 2018 sa Bulldogs pokúšajú o celkové zlepšenie. Otvárací zápasa pre Bulldogs sa uskutoční 6. apríla proti tímu Zvolen Patriots. Všetkých Vás pozývame podporiť Bulldogs na ich ceste k obhajobe minuloročného titulu.
In conclusion, the Trnava Bulldogs will begin preparation for the Bulldogs Juniors program as well. We would like to invite all youth members from the ages of 14 in up to come join and learn about American Football. American Football is a sport everyone can play, if you are looking for a challenge!
Na záver ešte spomeniem, že Trnava Bulldogs začne rovnako prípravu na svoj juniorský program. Radi by sme pozvali všetkých vo veku od 14 rokov, aby prišli a pridali sa k spoznávaniu amerického futbalu. Americký futbal je totiž šport, ktorý môže hrať každý, kto má rád výzvy!
